2-Way Driver Design
The Klipsch RSM-650 loudspeaker utilizes a 2-way driver design that features a horn-loaded 1″ (25 mm) titanium dome tweeter and a 6.5″ (165 mm) polypropylene cone woofer for dynamic, full-range sound.
1″ Titanium Dome Tweeter
The RSM-650 outdoor speaker features an all-new 1″ horn-loaded titanium dome tweeter mounted on a floating driver bridge in the centre of the woofer. Using Klipsch patented technology and a wide dispersion phase plug, the horn-loaded titanium dome tweeter delivers a 100 x 100 degree dispersion pattern for a much wider soundstage.
6.5″ Polypropylene Cone Woofer
The Klipsch outdoor loudspeaker also houses a 6.5″ polypropylene cone woofer for articulate midrange and vivid bass performance outdoors.
ABS Enclosure with Aluminium Grille
The RMS-650 loudspeaker employs a rugged ABS enclosure for high performance outdoor sound. The included aluminium grille is mounted to the speaker cabinet with sets screws to ensure a secure fit regardless of the outdoor environment. The RMS-650 is available in a black or white finish. However, you can paint the enclosure and grille to better match your outdoor space.
Dual 5-Way Binding Post Terminals
The Klipsch RSM-650 outdoor speaker is outfitted with dual 5-way binding post terminals that will accommodate bare wire (up to 12AWG). The binding posts are located on the back of speaker enclosure behind the mounting bracket and are protected by a removable cover. The cover features a rubberized opening for the speaker wire to pass through.
Mounting Options
The Klipsch RSM-650 speaker can be mounted outdoors or indoors using the included bracket system. The mounting bracket system is corrosion resistant powder coated zinc and offers great placement flexibility. It allows you to rotate the speaker almost 180 degrees after it’s been mounted, letting you direct the sound to different areas as needed. If the speaker is mounted vertically, the bracket allows it to swivel side to side. If the speaker is mounted horizontally, the bracket allows it to swivel up and down. The speaker’s shape and mounting bracket design even makes corner placement easy.
