The SL-1210GR2 features a single-rotor, surface-facing, coreless direct drive motor that completely eliminates cogging for perfectly stable rotation. The turntable’s two-layer aluminium die-cast platter weighs 2.5 kg and incorporates deadening rubber across the entire rear surface, delivering damping characteristics more than twice those of previous models. The high-precision static-balance S-shaped tonearm achieves initial-motion sensitivity of 5 mg or less through meticulous hand assembly, enabling accurate tracking of even the most delicate record grooves.
Advanced Power Management and Construction
A multi-stage silent power supply with high-speed switching technology (>100 kHz) and Current Injection Active Noise Cancelling ensures pristine, noise-free operation. The two-layered BMC and aluminium die-cast cabinet construction provides exceptional rigidity, while high-damping silicon rubber insulators isolate the system from external vibrations. Gold-plated phono terminals and metal shielding construction further reduce noise interference for pure, uncolored sound reproduction.
