Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of Sonus faber, the new Stradivari celebrates the unshakable dedication to excellence.
A SINGLE PROJECT
Inspired by the most excellent Renaissance luthier tradition, this speaker is a dedication to Sonus faber’s innovation and ingenuity. The evolution of the violin’s violin tradition, during the 1700s, saw an increase in the size of the instrument to seek a unique and completely new sound. That’s right, Stradivari G2 combines Sonus faber’s design and engineering philosophy to create an inimitable stage.
INNOVATION
The shape of Stradivari 2nd generation has changed from elliptical to pentagonal to guarantee the internal development of its innovative technologies and guarantee inimitable performance.
A unique sound thanks also to a new approach in low frequency management.

Twenty years have passed since Sonus faber had the intuition that changed the world of high fidelity. Forty years have passed since Sonus faber went from being the dream of a visionary to becoming one of the most important realities in the world of crafting musical jewels.
In 2003, Sonus faber paid tribute to Antonio Stradivari, the most recognized name in Cremonese violin making, with the introduction of the Stradivari speaker. Stradivari changed the way we perceive high fidelity, providing a new unit of measurement for sensory perception. Today, it makes a come back!
The design and composition of the Stradivari second generation pays homage to the traditional craftsmanship of Sonus faber products. The transformation from an elliptical to a pentagonal shape showcases how technological adaptation seamlessly follows aesthetic needs.
THE CLEPSYDRA TECHNOLOGY
The reflex system used in Stradivari combines a new hourglass geometry, aimed at maximizing the low frequency descent performance and at the same time containing the length of the duct, together with a downfiring emission which guarantees maximum freedom of positioning in the room. The non-parallel walls within the acoustic chamber of the woofers prevent the formation of standing waves above the tuned frequencies.
MIDRANGE
Designed to be light, fast and highly sensitive, to offer brilliance and definition of all the nuances of the high frequencies. The Stradivari midrange finds its natural continuation towards the extreme bass working in total timbre and level harmony with the two underlying woofers!
D.A.D. TWEETER
The patented technology for managing the oscillations of the silk dome of the tweeter rediscovers the tripod structure with Stradivari. Greater high frequency dispersion and control even at higher volumes.
WOOFER
The new dual gap woofer designed by the Sonus faber team for Stradivari is made to guarantee symmetry of the motor force and minimize the distortions intrinsic to a conventional magnetic circuit design. Equipped with a paper pulp sandwich cone and a surround designed for perfect balance with the needs of the motor action, this woofer has a fast and clean impulse response.
